I would like know the people who have stayed in the club rooms, has anybody ever gone on the Queen lagoon cruise or had the in room gourmet dinner? I have one of those rooms reserved and wanted to know if it was worth it to particapate in them. Thanks
We were supposed to of gone on the dinner cruise, but it was canceled due to rain. Wish they would rescheduled it but didn't happen. Didn't get a chance to do the in room. We weren't there long enough and actually liked going to the on site restaurants.
We went last March and did go on the lunch cruise. It was a lot of fun. I think a lot had to do with the group of people that were on the cruise with us. The people of our cruise were from The Great and The Golden. They had a bar on the boat. They played games and you could win little prizes. The food wasn't that great on the cruise but we figured we could eat if we were still hungry when we got back to the resort. After we ate we headed back up to the top of the boat. One guy from the Great hooked up his ipod and a lot of people were singing and dancing. They also let others get behind the bar and make drinks. It was fun! We didn't do the in room dinner. One couple we met did and I think they had a choice of a couple of different entrees. Hope this helps. Have fun!
Awesome thanks for the info I am looking forward to the trip and I guess if its free and it now sounds like fun we are in. Did u take up any fun trips or tours that u enjoyed as well? Thanks busymom
We did the lagoon cruise on the Caribbean Queen. We had a little rain, but not enough to cancel the cruise. The food was alright and the games were fairly fun (I made it to the semi-finals of the chugging contest, whoo hoo!). All told there were probably 40 or 50 of us on the boat that day, so it wasn't overly crowded. Afterwards we continued the party at the Tiki Bar. As for the in-room meal, we didn't do it...just ran out of nights!
As for other tours or "off-site" activities, the last time we were there we spent one evening in the Party Zone and we took a ferry over to Isla Mujeres with another couple. We rented a golf cart and drove the length of the island before hanging out on North Beach there...very nice day.
No, we didn't do any trips this time. We usually like to stay right on property and hang out at the pool or beach. We do like to go to Isla (it's been awhile since we ventured over there, hopefully we will in April!). Love the boat ride over and renting a golf cart is a must. Fun to ride around, check out sights and make little stops for a drink or snack. I have read on tripadvisor too that there are great places to stop and eat on the island.
