I'm in Canada and to exchange in US not worth it. 1 cdn $ = .91 cent in us. Pesos is 12.11 for my currency. How much I should exchange for my total trip ( 10 days ). How much do you give ? I was used to tips in US, but this year parts of my trip will be in US and the other half in Pesos. I will bring like 300 $ for Boobs Cruise and USA TRANSFERT But I will wait until the dollar go up a bit or more, if we decide to do 2 Boobs Cruise. I know I was like 60 $ in 1 $ bills, but isn't enought for 10 days that's for sure. So how much do you give in pesos per drinks ( or round for everyone ). Considering we have both bubba mug of 34 oz. I will exchange my money soon ( canadian to pesos ) in about 2 weeks. For US currency I don't really care the bank have them in stock. Thank you for helping me trying to figured it out. Like I said I'm not use to tip in pesos, but I know staff that working their ass off prefer way better the pesos so they don't need to go to the bank or something like that to exchange it in pesos. Thanks again, Jessie Have a wonderful day :rainfro:
Easiest we to look at it, drop a Zero off the peso and that almost what you are tipping $15 or below, anything over $15 is slightly more exchange around 1.2 20 peso is comparable to $2 50 peso $5 100 peso is $10 150 peso is $15 240 peso is $20 600 peso is $50 1200 peso is $100 This is a Canadian exchange guide for reference
100x20 peso notes 30 x 50 peso notes For tipping plus $ for excursions ect.. sometimes I have some left over, just use it next time , there will be a next time I like to tip the other people too ,, ie towel boy, washroom girls, ect.. spread it around, don't forget the oemlette cook
Bring plenty. You can always bring it home, or spend it in the duty free shop at the airport if you have already converted to pesos. Our last trip was for eight nights, and we brought $100 in ones, $100 in fives, $100 in tens, probably $3-400 in twenty's, and a few hungos. We find that we usually end up spending an average of $100/day if we end up going off the resort a couple of times. Walmart trips aren't cheap, and there is always something that we seem to end up buying. Be sure to have some $$ for Boobs Cruise tees and wraps, and you will need some for USA Transfers, and to pay for your Boobs Cruise, plus a decent tip.
Nice thing about TTR weather you tip them $1 USD or 50 peso( about $4), you get the same smile and service . Tip what you can afford. Maid $20 first day then 20 when I leave, extra if we make a mess, lol
We count on $50 USD per day for tipping plus extra for USA Transfer and boob's cruise then we add another $100 or so for good measure. We normally bring about $250 in 1's for 9-10 days and usually nothing larger than a 20. With the exchange rate for USD right now I am thinking we are going with Pesos in May. If you tip $1 USD a round then I'd say 20 Pesos would work and doesn't involve any coins.
So apparently TD Canada Trust won't let me specify the denominations (peso's) that I want to purchase. They said that I get what comes in. I'm converting about $500CAD (getting some USD too for Boobs Cruise & just in case money). My question is...what if it all comes in larger MXN notes? How hard might it be to convert say a couple of $500MXN notes to a bunch of 20's and 50's? Thanks, Nikki
TD is about as bad as Scotia Bank...avoid em like the plague! Try AcueRate (spelling?) heard they were good.
Ok, anyone needing to exchange money, the best way we've found, because taking a shitload of US singles is a royal pain in the cock! Any of the waiters in the buffet will break bills for you ! I kid you not, it makes things much easier, keep them well tipped and during breakfast do your money exchange
