Assuming that means Riu Plaza Las Americas, you are about mid way between kms 8 and 9.

Puerto Madero is at km 14, across from the Ritz Carlton.

Assuming that is outside your walking range as that is roughly 3.5 miles, cross the street to the lagoon side, where traffic is going toward the airport.

Hop any bus, $7.5 pesos per person. You will pass Plaza La Isla on the right, huge mall. Next you will pass Plaza Kukulcan Mall on the left. Then the Royal Sands Hotel which is next to the Ritz.

You should be standing by the back door by this time and pushing the button or pulling the cord in order to get off at the next stop. It's not a tiny place so you can easily see it, before or after sunset.

It is great in all respects.

    Hope this helps.

    Puerta Madero

We stay at the Sands which is almost across the street from Puerta Madero. We love it, too. It is pricey but worth it. You can share meals, and their wines, particularly the Malbec is great. Down nearer you at "The City" is a sister restaurant called "Camblelache" don't know the spelling but it is upstairs in this mall and is also fabulous. It has a lot less people in it, so it might be even better for you. :liebe011:

Yes, Cambalache is wonderful too. In Plaza Forum by the Sea, where Carlos and Charlies is located, and on the 2nd floor as Joanne says.

They also have another sister restaurant downtown, Bandeneon, at the corner of Bonampak and Nichupte, across the street from Plaza las Americas, on the Dorians end of the mall.

They have this shrimp soup that is to die for. I think it is $80 per bowl. On the menu it is called Jugo de Camerones, which translates to "shrimp juice" but it is not juice. It is yummy, yummy, yummy.

Take plenty of money and absolutely order the potatoes souffle. Incredibly delicious!
