    PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT regarding AEROMEXICO!!!!

    1. We have flown plenty. So we know what to expect. We know what we booked. We know what services we should be provided.

    2. With that said. The first and foremost? Get me from Point A to Point B. (that should be a given right)?

    3. This was all paid for (in full) 6 months in advance. They had the $$ I expected the service. (Isn't this how it works? Otherwise we'd be standing at the airports bidding for flights...!)

AEROMEXICO. A big NADA! We will N.E.V.E.R. and I repeat NEVER fly that airline again!

Flight to Cancun (from California) took us 25hrs due to the 1st delayed flight/resulting domino effect of missing connections..(yes, things happen, understandable).

Return flight? DejaVu'...only 16 hours this time! BUT.....they didn't even get us to our final destination!

We finally took matters in our own hands & had them fly us to San Francisco (because they wanted to route us through Atlanta & have us wait 8 hours for a flight from there to Sac). In SF we rented a car to drive to Sac to pick up OUR car & drive home!

We met some really nice folks from Chico, Ca (in Mexico City) in the same boat as us...they called a friend before we left Mexico City to drive to SF last night to pick them up! Talked to multiple others who say this is VERY common with AEROMEXICO!

I mean seriously!! We met friends from Europe @TTR who arrived in 10 hours. Same with other couples from New York, Canada, etc.... Seems California to Cancun would be a "slam dunk" right !?!

I have saved all receipts to apply for reimbursement, (which I highly doubt will happen)..and I think this CEO (Aeromexico) needs to go on Undercover Boss to see what is REALLY occuring out in the terminals! Craziness!

Just trying to save others from the same "airline" travel frustration...the rest of the vacation was fabulous! We have never experience any issues with flight travel, and we do travel frequently either for business/corporately or for pleasure.

Not all people have resources. Some spend every extra dime they have or work extra jobs just to get away from the day to day "work stuff" we call life & have some fun! I feel so badly for those who were on that same flight who may not have had any resources at all.

Matt & I are fortunate to have a "rainy day fund" or I would be sitting in Atlanta, Georgia right now waiting until 6pm tonite for a flight to Sacramento. That is simply not acceptable!!

The time at TTR was fabulous...lesson learned.

Flew Aeromexico once, just to get from Houston's IAH to Cancun's CUN. Let's just say -- Never flying them again, even for a non-stop, direct flight of about 2 hours. Nope.

My major problem with them was the connection in Mexico City. It took 5 hours to get through because it was so big. Decent prices but worth the extra $100 to get there quicker.

If you are non-stop, you stand a pretty good chance of getting there okay. They just tend to run late A LOT!

For anyone trying to make a connecting flight....I'd re-think it!

May we suggest flying out of SFO and grabbing a direct flight on United or Virgin.

Sure those direct flights cost a bit more but no fear of multiple planes that could have issues, change of gates, lost luggage & other headaches.

Glad you made it home safe & sound!

If I were to see someone suggest United, I would instantly suggest they run kicking and screaming away as fast as possible. Otherwise you'll be kicking and screaming to get where you want to get with what you took.

Our last trip was the nail in the coffin for flying United. Took nearly 36 hours to get back to our final destination and 48 more hours to receive our luggage. It's hard to look at the vouchers that we got from them when they bumped us to American and we got to Cancun a few hours early. It sucks but we will throw them away rather then to give United another chance "to fuck everything up"

As I said, we have flown plenty...out of many venues. This is not our first rodeo! LOL!!! If we had no clue then that would be one thing, but we understand how things work and what we pay for. We've flown out of SFO as well as SMF in the past with other airlines with no issues whatsoever...

Bottom line is you should get what you PAY for!!!! If you get a gallon of milk at the store and get home and it's sour what do you do?

We've talked with many others who have experience the same thing with Aeromexico.

My only point in posting is to help others avoid issues such as ours.

Try Volaris if they are an option for you. They've been great for us thus far!
