Why does there seem to be so many people with no pictures attached to their name? It's really not that hard to add a picture or two so you at least know who you are conversing with or who is viewing your thread!
I always figured it was because they didn't know how. I know OP said it was easy but it took a few trys to get a profile photo to stick for us. Also think lots of people watch this forum for a while to decide if they want to participate. Its sort of a learning experience. I guess some people might think they should conceal they vacation at Temptation from Family or for Job concerns but I can't imagine living under such scrutiny. Its just a topless optional resort. That's all. Its 2015. When we tell people where we go, their only reaction is they want to go too. Nobody cares.
You also have the option of making your avatar viewable to registered members only, along with viewable to friends only. So it's possible they've uploaded them, but you can only see it once they accept your friendship request. We had some pictures posted and took them down between visits to TTR. We'll post some for our upcoming trip soon, so our new May friends will know what we look like. But as Donald said, friends and family limit what we want to expose online. We had a bad experience with someone stealing my teen daughters school pictures and making an entire persona online. So we're careful with our pictures.
Agreed.... don't understand the whole" I cant possibly let anyone know I go to TTR as its a topless optional resort ." Does going to TTR for a open minded fun vacation make you some kind of deviant who should be shunned by neighbours or employers ? Just seems weird ....but then were from the UK originally so being topless is an everyday occurrence on beaches in Europe .
Maybe, but it's really not our job to understand why some people may be in a position where they feel they can't post pictures or let people know they go here. We're not in their shoes. It's all good.
Unfortunately, there's been instances of school teachers and others in those types of jobs that wind up getting fired. Not because they went to TTR, but because some type of picture wound up on their employer's desk. Life's not fair, but in some instances, a topless picture taken while a person is in a state of drunken jubilation can cause a lot of unnecessary problems. And to your point about the UK. In the States, especially the South. Topless might as well be 100% nude and is immoral. Many people are hung up on it, when in reality, its a beautiful, natural (and yes for the religious folks out there) God-provided gift. God provided breasts and his handiwork should be appreciated and admired! Which is what I plan to do when I get to TTR.
Although I'm fine with my pictures up here I still struggle to actually tell people back home where I'm going. Saying Temptation still bugs me. I'm there to laugh and get drunk with my friends mostly, not be 'tempted' or whatever. I worry people will get the wrong impression. Cancun is becoming a very popular destination in the UK - I know of 2 family members that are visiting this year alone. I've no doubt that at some point someone who knows me will stumble across this site, well at least I know in myself I'm not doing anything someone would disapprove of. If my parents were still alive, then it'd be an entirely different situation, so I can appreciate why people with kids or close relatives that would frown upon TTR don't put up their picture.
Doesn't have to be topless, that's the point. None of the pictures we post are not pictures I wouldn't put on Facebook or anywhere else! A simple profile picture of a couple is harmless and I don't believe any company in the world could fire someone over a face picture. My opinion anyway)
