Can someone help me please? For professional photos on site done by the sexy photographer, do we have to schedule that in advance? Also, what is the best way to bargain to get the best deal? Thinking of finally getting those done our next trip... after all, we're not getting any younger, haha!
We were approached while at the pool one day and then set something up then . I think you can just go to their office and set something up for whenever works for you .
Stacia & I were approached at poolside as we were setting up shop during our trip in... I think it was 2013. Yes, I just checked the dates for the pic-files, 2013. A lady was just cruising around the pool, offering it. We found out later that if you go to their small office cubby, you can schedule there, too as stated above. When Stacia did it the price worked out to $10 per picture selected, but the guy tossed in some extras which were "finished" on his 'puter with some sort of retouching program. I ended up with all the raw files and the retouches for about $300, for a total of 78 pics. 39 raw, 39 retouch or B&W, etc. They were really good, high-quality pics. That photographer's name was Xavier, but he's not there any longer as I heard he had made his bones and went back to Mexico City and kept moving up the pro-pictures food chain. We did it last trip and will never regret it. I just signed up over at the premier hut by the pool and did it the very next day. It was an awesome experience and the results were far beyond expectation. The photographer was phenomonal and made me feel completely comfortable and downright naughty! If I can recall his name, I'll add it here later. Update: His name is Jibo, or as he says, like Jimbo without the m. I've added a G rated sample.
We also did a picture shoot with jibo. He made me feel so comfortable due to the fact it was our first time doing this type of shoot. I originally wanted to do a trash the dress because it was our 19th anniversary and had researched photographers prior to going on our trip- the prices were outrageous! So.... another couple told us about the photos at TTR and we checked it out. Not only were the prices way better the work was phenomenal! You sign up at the pool hut then they come to your room and do a Lingerie shoot- so much fun! We also went to she and the rooftop bar. The grand finale was the photos of us in our wedding clothes rolling around on the beach and running in the water. It was an amazing experience and excellent work! I cant say enough good about jibo - he had incredible ideas! The pictures I think are either 10 or 20 a piece but then of course you can buy packages also. You pay only if you want to purchase - there is no sitting fee. You should do it - you won't regret it !
This is one of those items at TTR that is highly negotiable. Know that they will likely throw out some pretty outrageous packages. They want some money for their work so you have leverage and can walk out of the negotiations. They will come find you. A great price is $10 a picture but we found we had to buy 30 to get to that price which is fine. Original package offered was over $1000 for all our pictures. We didn't want all and didn't want the extras. If you dont want to deal with the negotiation and just want it done I think landing somewhere around $13-$15 a picture isn't a bad deal at all.
We also paid $10 a picture with a 30 picture minimum order. Pictures were top notch. Our pictures were taken before the renovations, it may be time to do it again. Cancun - New years 2015[/URL]
