I am starting to watch prices for my trip in Nov/Dec. I often go with Orbitz because the offered a $200.00 off promotion code which they have recently discontinued. I am looking for some info on what sites you book through.
We searched all over and even when using the Orbitz code we were able to book it cheaper on Expedia. We looked at Cheap Caribbean, book it, and even the resort's website. Apple was out for us since we need the discount of booking the airfare and hotel together. I think airfare alone was around $800pp just booked by itself. We got 9 nights in a standard room with roundtrip airfare from Omaha (which is stupid expensive) for $2500 for the two of us. We booked in mid-February for our trip starting May 27th. Good luck! E
Booked thru Alpharooms, paid just under 1K for 6 nights. This was my first time using them. If you look, you will see another thread about them.
Click through to Alpharooms using the link on the Cancuncare site. They generally have super good rates; I'm told they don't do airfare from the US (not sure about that), but anyway, you can check kayak or one of the other sites for your airfare. We've used Alpharooms with no hassle. I know other people from the board here have as well. Never heard of any issues.
We used Cheapcaribbean.com Flew from Minneapolis to Cancun and it was the best deal we came across. We checked multiple different websites and couldn't find anything less than them for flight and hotel. We booked mid February for our trip in mid April.
I comparison shopped all the sites and finally went with cheaptickets.com. It's actually the same site as Orbitz.com, but for the same trip it saved an extra $100. I'm guessing it's a sister website... Our last trip the best price was on Expedia though...just gotta watch the prices and once you book be happy with the price you paid.
Travelocity has been around $200.00 less, I'm probably going to go through them if orbitz doesn't come through with the coupon. See you there!

I used bookit.com I used bookit.com and got a great deal, they seemed to change daily no matter what s site you use.
