We went last year in Aril from Halifax and it was just under $1100. I looked today and it was running around $1500. Are the deals just not in effect yet?

The price can change by a few hundred dollars over the year. 1600 at one time and drop a few hundred the next month. You just have to keep watching

The biggest difference I've found so far is the price of our airline tickets. Last December when we went the price was under $300 and now the cheapest I can find is $442 per person. The hotel rooms are also running about $15 more a night than last year. I've been tracking prices for a return trip this Fall since last February and they really haven't changed much at TRC. Cabo, however has dropped their prices dramatically. The problem is airline tickets for us to go to Cabo are over $550 each, so we're going back to Cancun.

I have found that there are 2 times that it's good to book. Usually about 7-8 months prior to get the early booking rates. Then, about 2-3 months to get the last minute deals. We paid $2100 for 9 days that's air and stay. That's the best we have seen yet for us (with the flights the way we want them, could be cheaper if we took different flights).

I've found booking in August for December is the time for a good deal, last year I'm sure it was cheaper cause of the swine flu scares that was going around. I'm getting 15 days for around 1600 w/ airfare and that's only about 10 more per day than I've been paying the last two years.
