Just wondering how people are finding the prices for Mexico this year, particularly those from USA/CANADA From the UK I can honestly say its hasnt been such good value to Mexico for a long time. I had been looking to goto Temptations for a while but prices were usually around £900 for a week At the moment from UK I can book a week all inclusive, with single supps, flights and transfers for just over £500 in a two star hotel , or under £700 for Blue bay or Temptations. Given that it is a 10 1/2 hour flight that seems amazing value. Also you can book a return flight only to Cozumel at the moment for £186 including all taxes.....that is unbeleivable. It looks like there is excess capacity to Mexico right now given the swine flu scare, the fact that its hurricane season and the current economic situation in UK. I am almost tempted to book again for NOV. Nugg
book it I just booked for Temptation resort 22nd november for 2 weeks with single supplement came out at £1100..was cheaper than last year..with thomas cook.. i will see you there
we've found the airfare to be very reasonable this fall. at least it was a couple of months ago when we booked tickets for october. and the exchange rate when we were there in March was great. I think it's down somewhat (thanks for the "change" Prez) now but it's still better than it has been in the past.
we've got a friend that decided she'd like to go with us this trip in October. The tickets on the same flight with us, that we paid 189 R/T for on Continental are now going for $330. I know the shorter the lead time the more expensive they are but a 75% increase is a LOT.
I am a bit confused. UK people pay more for hotels than other people? or the quotes you guys list is including airfare? I am not sure about airfare, but hotel rates are pretty cheap at the moment. Priceline.com offers good rates for hotels in Cancun, and so does www.BestDay.com (bestday quotes prices in Mexican pesos, so when you see numbers like 2500 it is like $200 USD not $2500 USD)
uk the price I quoted was including transfers from airport and flights.. hotel only with single supplement was about £700 pounds I think for 14 nights..around 1000 dollars???
