can I buy a phone card in advance or do I have to wait to get to cancun to do so.I was told that not all phone cards that say they work in mexico will work in cancun. Does any know which ones will work in cancun Thnx
Yep, you can buy the telmex cards down in cancun! Or, try calling your cellphone provider and have them switch it over so you can make calls from mexico! I have my phone set up every year, I have verizon. Only costs an additional 4.99 to the monthly bill and the calls get taken off my normal minutes from home! If not, you can also rent a cell phone from cancunvalet.com, I have done that and they are wondeful!!! Hope this helps
Renting a phone from Mexitel is cheap and easy. www.mexitel.net for information. $1.00 for a 15 minute phone call to the US and incoming calls are free. Rental is $35.00 for up to two weeks. We just used them, and it was great. Delivered right to my house with a prepaid box for returning the phone.
