Im booking my spring break trip at the Gran Caribe Real and had some questions regarding their alchohol. First of all do they offer premium alchohol like hennesey, patron, grey goose, kettle one etc?? Also I heard that a lot of the alcohol is watered down at the resorts and the clubs... is this true?
I cant answer your first point...but my hotel didn't have much on the way of premium stuff don't get me wrong the stuff they had gives you a premium piss up! :lol: And in my understanding it is illegal for alcohol to be watered down, i believe the whole watered down points ar just Myths or something...However i could be wrong
I think when they say premium booze they mean like brand names like Barcardi rum, not no name. And I don't tghink I have seen grey goose at the hotel..
I know what they meant, thats why i said i dont believe they had premium stuff, BUT the stuff they had gave a premium piss up
when I went the first time, we stayed at the Royal Sands.....top of the line hotel, but not a breakers hotel, anyway they had a supermarket in the hotel and had any kind of alcohol u can imagine, we ended up getting a bottle of Remy Martin, and leaving about 3/4 of it there, cuz it sucked

You're not going to get any of what you consider to be premium alcohol with an ai resort unless it's truely top notch resort like La Blanc. Premium is going to be Bacardi, Smirnoff and other similar brands. The doemstic brands will be Mexican brands. The alcoholisn't watered down but many of the ai offer only premium alcoholwith upgraded packages and everyone else gets their domestic which mightbe be quite as strong as what youare use to drinking. if it's not strong enough just ask for a bit more alcohol added to your drink. Most ai's will be happy to accomodate you.
