Just got back from using a friends referral. Third pitch, but third decline. However, tempted (NPI). Would love feedback from members: good deal, do you like it, pitfalls / traps, are there hidden issues or costs, things not as promised? Thanks.
Works out good for us. We have a good deal though walking across the border and flying there from mexico so the flight/hotel package discounts don't help us at all so getting the room at the premier rate is nice. The added premier perks are pretty nice to have as well and do have some extra value so it's icing on the cake.
Thanks. No hidden costs, you got what you expected? Surprised 179 reads and one comment, but thanks Spyre.
How much and where do you book when you fly out of TJ? We went to Mexico City from TJ years ago. Just wondering how cost effective it would be.:mexicoflag:
Probably lots of people interested in the responses, but not a lot that actually have feedback. I know I'm curious about other people have to say
It really is all about personal opinion, not a huge money saver if any for us it's convienient less time spent trying to find a good deal etc. We call up we book prices are always the same. We do enjoy all the perks, especially the new deck the extra meals, check in and out etc. We have no complaints and would do it again.
We book direct with Volaris for the flights. If you follow them on facebook they post crazy one day deals. For instance a couple days ago they had a 1 day flights to and from cancun for 499 pesos each way. So that's what, $83 bucks round trip? If you can jump on a deal and book early it's great. Also flying domestic you don't have to wait in the crazy long immigration line in cancun, you just walk right out. It's pretty awesome.
We have 3 other couple friends that are members. They have been members about 4 years. They all are kinda "ho-hum" about it. We are leaving for TTR in a week, and we got our room through Alpharooms at $157 a night. Thats less than the referral rate our friends were quoted back in April. We might consider it if we were alot younger. As with most timeshares, you are really just paying a portion of your stay cost up front for future trips.
