When we were there in Oct. on a referral week and purchased we had white bands. What is the difference between white and gold bands?
Didn't even know that there are gold bands for that matter...wonder if they may have changed the colour recently? We had the tan / white bracelets when we were there in September 14. A studio is not exactly a standard room...better layout and most are in the 5000 block and have a ocean view (of sorts anyways) to the best of my knowledge. Last 3 trips we have been upgraded to a Jacuzzi suit around the quiet pool at no charge which is not bad for $125 / night for both of us
We have not seen gold bands either but it refers to them in our membership info pack on the pair about the free weeks.
Typical Mexican contract translated in to English...white is gold and gold is white? LOL Either way you have free weeks to use with all the perks

I believe a gold membership is a higher number of days. 500 day membership compared to the starting out 187 day one.
Being a member since 2001 you will learn the advantages quickly. Some of our favorites are top shelf booze, the premier service at sexy pool is awesome, the guys in orange shirts will search you out and not let you run out of drinks. Reservations at Italian and Chinese restaurants easier to get. The menu choices better at specialty restaurants(Love the coconut shrimp and Marco polo shrimp).Wi-Fi is free. Get to know Norma and the premier staff, they will help you any way possible(we do tip them well). If you need anything for the room, it will be there within 10 minutes(ex bottle water, bath towels, body wash). While we understand some of the rooms are newer or nicer, we love the ground floor of the 3000 block(3101-3108), quiet at night, no stairs, and you walk out the back sliding door to the sexy pool. We also like the covered seating at Paty's. Premier section at sexy pool has chairs without getting up at 6 am to reserve.
Gold and white/tan are same Premier bands. The bands used to actually be more gold in color, but I remember they bled with the chlorine and stained my wrist and suit once, so maybe that's why they changed to the newer white/tan bands....
