Heading to TTR for our 3rd time Saturday. This will be our 1st Boobs Cruise (on the 24th) and our 1st time using USA Transfers. I usually tip in pesos around the resort but want to know if $USA are preferred on cruise and for our driver since those payments are already in USD? Makes no difference to me. I'd like those staffs to get what's easiest for them. Thanks! John and Katherine
By the end of the Boobs Cruise we loved chinos and the staff so much we just gave them whatever we had left. Pesos and dollars both were accepted gratefully. I had read somewhere that it's easier on them if you give pesos but whatever it is, just give. Both institutions you listed will earn your tips I guarantee it.
I know USA Transfers we have always paid in USD same as the Boobs Cruise. Im jealous April cant come soon enough.
I had read that once the Boobs Cruise is over the guys head across the street to exchange dollars for pesos. So you save then exchange ding by tipping in pesos. First trip we did dollars but now knowing we will pick up pesos before going. Might as well save them a bit.
The easiest for them would be pesos...because residents will exchange dollars for pesos at a bank. They'll always have a mix of different currencies, so bank trips are inevitable, but pesos can be spent immediately, so the more pesos, the fewer trips to the bank, I'd guess. Having said all that...Jamie normally brings a stack of dollars for tips...and we always say we'll bring pesos next trip, but never remember. Either is better than being a penny pinching cheapskate who doesn't tip.
USA transfert can be paid in canadian too. Because our dollar is really low we will pay whatever we can in pesos. Pesos are better because they don't need to converted it to get it . ( remember they can't pay their rent and Bill in us !!
Thanks everyone. Pesos it is! Plus the exchange rate is much more favorable than our last trip. I think we were getting less than 12mxn:$1usd. Last time I looked it was 15
