Is there any problem in exchanging pound to peso in banks or cambio de casa? Anybody knows any places to exchange money near Temptation Resort & Spa?
No problem at all, you can change them right at the hotel desk for a crappy rate or just cross the road and there is a cambio at the little plaza to the left.
Mid market bank rate is almost exactly £1 = 20 pesos. International Currency Convertor At the hotel they'll probably offer something like 17 and at the cambios 18.5 at a guess. You'll get close to 20 if you use your bank card in the ATM's though which is really the best way. 2000 pesos at the ATM will cost you £100 (plus whatever your bank charges. I use HSBC in the UK and they charge me 2%), total £102 2000 pesos at the Cambio will cost you £108.11 2000 pesos at the Hotel will cost you £117.64

I would just add, for those who bank with HSBC, that HSBC ATMs can be found all over the city. Use another bank's ATM and you might incurr additional charges.
