At least 4 people we have talked to (including myself) became suddenly sick with an upset stomach & vomiting ( & no it was NOT from drinking too much ) starting on Feb 14-15 & lasting up to 48 hrs.I was down for 38 hrs & could'nt leave the room . Has anyone else experienced this symptom ???
I did, last week in Cincinnati. Boy did it suck. Food poisining would have been much worse than that. . Did you play Tequila volleyball. The bottle goes in the water, and of course nobody ever pees in the pools...
Unless you have a uti urine is sterile. So even though the thoughts of drinking it are sickening it wouldnt likely make you sick. I actually think I have heard survival stories where people had to drink urine to not get dehydrated. But of course that is besides the point. :aktion061:
No Volleyball or any bottle shots. Had lunch on Valentines day , sat around the sexy pool in the after noon then instantly at around 5pm it hit as I was starting to get ready for the evening.:cry: I have never been this sick in my life .
I have had a couple of light cases of food poisoning (7-11 sandwiches...) but that also sounds like the 24 hour flu to me. Given all the food and booze they go through a day statistically it's bound to happen once in a while also. Glad to see you made it through though.
There was a bad stomach virus that was going around the northeast for the first two weeks of February. Can't remember the exact name but it started with an r. I bet you simply caught it from someone at the resort or on the plane. Symptoms are very similar to food poisoning. Lasts 2-3 days. My kids had it 2 weeks ago and so did several people at work. Basically they couldn't even keep water down. Luckily I avoided it as people describe it as the worst stomach pain and discomfort they have ever had.
Its so hard to tell between food poisoning and the stomache flu. But it is flu season and you got think about being stuck in those planes using recycled air ,all it takes is 1 person on the flight to be sick and they don't even have to know it.
Thought I would weigh in on this topic. I have had food poisoning and usually a severe headache is present with severe stomach cramping. But I'm sure symtoms can vary. Sorry to hear you were sick on your vacation :-(
We were there at that time and my wife had the same symptoms. She was in bed sleeping most of the day on Valentine's Day. She was not able to eat or drink water all day. The next day she was 80% better, so we believe it was something she ate.
Spoke to Dani and Peter (perkipsie) who are at the hotel at the moment and it seems a lot of people are going down with sickness at the moment
