We'll be arriving in 6 days and we're wondering how others keep their personal items safe/nearby while in the pool......ie: room key, tip $, camera, smokes... Thanx! Getting pumped! :mnm:
We put it underneath a chair of someone we know, as we never get down there early enough to actually reserve our own chair.
If we've got chairs, we'll just bring down a big beach bag and ask friends in nearby chairs to keep an eye on it for us. I keep singles for tips between pages in a book. I always have board shorts on in the pool with a velcro pocket for the room key. The camera is just wrapped in a shirt inside the beach bag.
When we go we ask the group that we are with to get a couple of chairs but we hardly use them since we are usually in the pool most of the time.
We've never had an issue pool side..........we keep our goodies including a waterproof mini-vide in an otter box. Gosh I would hate if someone stole the vibe. It'd ruin the week!
we bring 20 peso bills for tipping.....they work out to like 1.35 us each, but they are waterproof so i just keep them on me in tte pool with no worries. And its easier for the staff as they dont have to exchange anything.
We usually keep ours on a chair, if we get there early enough to get one, or under a friends chair. And we found awesome camelback sports bottles with a pouch attached to keep our tips and keys in. Those are the best!
Vacation Vault | Keep Your Valuables Safe We've been using a Vacation Vault for years. We take it on every vacation we go on, and it's great. They have a cable and a 3 digit combination lock. Amazon has them for $20-25.
