My husband and I who are in our early 40's and mid 40's are seriously thinking about Temptation Oct 18-25th, but need to help. 1. Does everyone wear a bikkini? I'm not size 3, but not huge by any means and don't want to look like a nun in my skirtini. 2. We love to party, but not sure I want someone else (besides my husband) to do body shots on me. Will we be looked down upon? 3. As you can tell, I'm a bit shy about my body, but could care less what other people do. 4. How do we know what activities are planned for the week we will be there? 5. Bottom line....we don't want to look stupid or like a prude!!! Any advise and responses would be most helpful!!:daveandmo:
By all means, GO! You will have a great time! 1. Not everyone wears a bikini, there are suits of all kinds and body types of all kind. Don't worry a bit about being yourself and cutting loose and having a good time! 2. No one forces anything on you at all. People are very respectful and I have never seen anyone pressured into anything they were not comfortable with. Yeah, there are some funny and crazy things that go on, but for the most part, it is a great party with great conversation and tons of opportunities to laugh and have a great time. 3. Don't be shy. The motto of the resort is Nobody knows you and nobody gives a shit. There are people of all types and they are all having fun. 4. For activities, look on the website, or look in this forum, most of the information is here! 5. I was afraid of the same thing the first time we went and don't worry a bit. Just be you and you will find many new friends. 6. BOOK YOUR TRIP! YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU DID!!
:clappyinghappy: WELCOME TO THE BOARD :clappyinghappy: You are not going to be looked at as prudes. People love to have fun at TTR but will respect boundries. !. Dont worry about your size...lol..you will see that once you get there. There are bodies there in all shapes, sizes and color. There are some who will bare very little to some who will bare VERY MUCH. Wear what makes YOU feel comfortable. Its your vacation...lol...and remember the motto......" Nobody Knows You And Nobody Gives a Shit" 2. If you only want your Hubby to do body shots on you...Only HE will do the body shots. 3. After a few days you will feel just fine about your body...lol...you may even go topless. 4. Study this site, and you will get an idea. Many more folks will be responding to help you..lol...thats what we do. When the October thread comes out put your name on it, you will meet others that will be there the same time as you....Keep an eye out or contact Steve to make youe he will be having a Boobs Cruise the week you are there. 5. Bottom Line Go Have Fun and Party Like You Have Never Partied before. :daveandmo: :daveandmo: :daveandmo: :daveandmo: :daveandmo: :daveandmo: :daveandmo:
I second what randh said We were just like y'all the first time we went. But when u get there your eyes open and everything is so much fun...if ur not into something, just say the magic word. No!! No harm done, not a party foul. Never looked down upon
Um yeah, I ended up being one of the wilder ones there that week. ha ha. I so look forward to going back in December!
1. Does everyone wear a bikkini? I'm not size 3, but not huge by any means and don't want to look like a nun in my skirtini. I typically wear board shorts and not a bikini, not to say I wouldn't Like Randh said you will see everything from 1 piece to only a tiny thong. Most ladies do wear bikini's and I would suggest you at least bring one if you go. After a few drinks you will probably be wishing you had one. 2. We love to party, but not sure I want someone else (besides my husband) to do body shots on me. Will we be looked down upon? We have gone twice before and haven't done body shots off anybody other than ourselves. We aren't prudes by any means, it's just not in our comfort level. I would hope that we were never looked down upon for not doing this. 3. As you can tell, I'm a bit shy about my body, but could care less what other people do. Most ladies probably have the same mindset heading to TTR their first time (I know my wife did). After you go you will probably end up with a better body image of yourself. 4. How do we know what activities are planned for the week we will be there?Check website they have the nightly entertainment. The day time activities do change. Some activies include belly flop contest, beer chugging, miss Temptation, mr Temptation, tequila volleyball. 5. Bottom line....we don't want to look stupid or like a prude!!! Nobody knows you and nobody gives a shit, that's the motto you should always keep in mind :aetsch004:
Go! Relax! Have fun! Let loose! You'll probably end up being the wildest of the bunch.Nobody is there to judge. If someone does;that's their problem, not yours and they probably don't belong there anyway.
My reply is copied and pasted from a reply I gave someone about this time last year to a similar question. Hope this is useful: The advice I give to anyone considering this place is to "set your expectations appropriately" ... if you are expecting a classy, Ritz Carlton-like experience, not the place for you. And if you have issues with seeing topless women at the pool or the occasional brief nudity during a game or activity, again not the place for you. The resort does not have elevators - plan on walking up to your room up the stairs. The food, while good and plentiful is not anything that I'd call "fantastic" - but that said, I've never gone hungry there, nor even had a meal I'd call disappointing. But you're not going to get a perfectly rare Prime NY Strip here, for example. A vacation at this resort is exactly what you make it. If you want to go topless? Go topless! If you don't? Don't! Want to have that additional drink or snack? Go for it! Hell have 20. Want to laugh? This is the place. Want to smile? This is the place. Want to be somewhere that has a totally non-judgmental attitude? This is the place. All are equals there - last trip, we met a guy whose net worth was more than a billion dollars (yes, a BILLIONAIRE), and he was hanging out in the pool with us (decidedly middle class), and a young couple who she was a new school teacher and he was a production worker at a factory, and they were barely scraping by. And we were all hanging in the sexy pool, having drinks, laughing and talking about life. Tell me anywhere else you can do that. You will see people of all shapes, sizes, colors and ages. There will be people in their 20s and people in their 70s. There will be women with perfect bodies and women with less than perfect bodies. Hanging out together. Possibly topless. There are people from all over the US, Canada, UK and a few other locales - and generally speaking, everyone there is fantastically friendly. I guarantee you will meet friends you keep. We are returning in two weeks. With another couple that we met there - that live 1200 miles from us, and we've only seen one other time. But we had so much fun with them that we have to spend another week with them. Has to happen! I will say this: If you have concerns over what other people do, you probably shouldn't go to this resort. If you have any sort of judgemental streak in you, forget this place. But, if you can adhere to this tenet: No one knows you and no one gives a shit, AND one I personally add: Hakuna Matata - No worries - you WILL love this place. There are a lot of myths and misconceptions: - Myth: Topless required. Umm, no. Ridiculous. Topless friendly? Hell yes. Want to let the girls out? Knock yourself out. Concerned the world will stop turning if you do? Keep the top on (although it won't). - Myth: It's an orgy. No, No, NO. Is the atmosphere sexual? Sure. But in a goofy, humorous way. Nothing else. - Myth: Swingers roam this place like predators. HA HA HA! Are there swingers? Yup. But unless you're in that lifestyle, it is highly unlikely you'll encounter any open or overt offers for it. (but there are SWINGS at the bar - so you can give swinging a try!) - Myth: Single guys roam the place hitting on women. No again. Next? - Myth: You'll be required to drink shots, do inappropriate stuff, etc. Nope again. Make sense? Relax, have fun. No one knows you. No one gives a shit.
Oh My! Those are all of the questions I had back in Nov. on our 1st trip to TTR. We leave for trip #2 in 70 days to celebrate my hubby's 50th birthday. Sooooo excited!!! I never want to vacation anywhere else. 1. I wore my skirtini the first day. Broke out the bikini the next day. Lost my top playing a game at the sexy pool on the 3rd day and never put it back on.:flash: 2. Body shots? Not my favorite thing to do. So I didn't. But it was alot of fun watching. 3. I'm shy about my body at home but not at TTR 4. This site is full of information. 5. The Bottom line..... The people that you meet at TTR and the staff are great. Feel stupid or like a prude? Heck No!!!! I felt like a crazy party girl (woman) that final left her guard down and had the time of her life.:daveandmo: And all my husband could say is when are we going again?
I agree with everyone.. Just go it will be one of the best trips you can take. People are great and no one cares if you want to go a little crazy or just stand by and observe. Just fun to meet the people there and relax.
