Plastic is well known to be the scourge of the ocean- it’s killing the fish and polluting the sea permanently. Can TTR contribute by not putting single use straws in drinks unless they are asked for? I see so many just removed and thrown away, these end up in our oceans. Any other suggestions on how TTR can reduce plastic usage?
I need to ask for a straw every drink. I don’t ever see them put straws in drinks without request. Hubby doesn’t love straws but I need one, we have to ask.
Pretty sure drinks are served without a straw unless asked for. I always ask for one because I don't like having to filter my drink through ice with my lips and teeth. Although once finished I'll keep the same straw for the next drink, and the next etc.
From what I've seen Original Resorts has had the same policy(for quite some time) for all it's properties - straws are only provided if asked for - fyi - was told they are looking at going more eco and away from plastic back to paper(don't know if/when it would happen however....)
Well that is good to hear guys although not my experience this week. Every pina colada I have had came with a straw which I threw away. I saw this happening over and over, hence my post.
Um okay, we suggest just keep yo self in the sexy pool. That way no straws will make it back to the ocean. In fact, only do shots, I have yet to see one straw fit in a shot glass. Better yet, only do body shots, and if you’re using a straw for a body shot...call us cuz you’re doing it wrong.
I keep seeing news about this new save the earth stategy. Makes me want to ask why trash is being dumped in ocean in first place.? Wouldn't that be a better cause to protest. Straws are just a small percentage of plastic in trash. But why isn't trash landfilled or burned or combination.
If everyone just bought a CCC bubba mug from Steve (link is in CCC merchandise) then we would all be contributing to a cleaner ocean and damn cool looking pool party!
