Hey Cancun pros! I posted in the Cancun info section requesting suggestions as to where me and my friend should go and everyone suggested Temptations lol. I am going may 21-26. I am a 28 year old male going with my also male friend who is the same age. We are looking for a party spot with easy going people who like to have fun. Neither one of us has ever been to Cancun and we are trying to find the best experience. Is Temptations busy at the end of May? Is it all couples or will there be single girls? I have read a bit and it seems like a mix of casual people who like to have fun. I just don't want to end up going and it being a ghost town lol. Please advise! Thanks :ernaehrung005:
Temptation is a great place for anyone. Being single guys at Temptation you need to be respectful of other guests. It's more couples than singles at Temptation but that doesn't mean you won't have a great time. Nobody knows you and nobody gives a shit at Temptation.
Don't expect much for single girls at all. In my opinion if you're looking for that, I'd recommend a different resort. The last time we were there, the ratio to single guys to girls was about 40 or 50 guys for every one single girl. Then you have to keep in mind that a lot of the couples at Temptation are also into single girls. The resort is mainly geared towards couples for sure, although single guys do go there and apparently have fun. Now obviously every month is different and you might happen to have a good ratio that week, but I personally would never go to Temptation as a single guy...I would recommend each of you finding a girl to bring with you. I just can't imagine sharing a sexy room with another guy...watching channel 12 with another guy...sitting in pool with another guy while looking at girls that are over 90% not even available...having a romantic dinner with another guy... getting a couples massage with another guy (lol!)...then hanging out at Paty O's with another guy, where again, over 90% of the girls are not even available. But whatever...to each their own. Now keep in mind that this opinion is coming from someone that has no interest in talking to, hanging out with, or partying with any single guys and has actually been a vocal advocate to the resort to not even allow groups of single guys to stay there, but there will also be couples there that are happy to party with you.
Agreed. Definitely don't expect a lot of single girls there, it is mostly couples. That being said chances are there will be a few singles... guys and gals. We've never found the resort overwhelmed with groups of single guys and have never had a problem with single guys being there. We've met and continue to be friends with quite a few single guys we've met over our 6 trips to TTR. Actually looking forward to seeing a few that we haven't seen a couple years that are going back during our vacation this year. I wouldn't go to TTR as a single guy if I was only interested in hooking up with single girls.. however if you are open to hanging out with groups and couples, having a great week of partying then yes I'd definitely recommend it.
Thanks for all the replies! I'm glad I have a better understanding of the dynamic of this resort now lol. For the record my friend and I are getting seperate rooms, so we wouldnt be sharing a "sexy room" haha. I kind of thought Temptaions was a resort with all types of people (single or attached) who cut loose and are down for whatever. I guess I didn't consider the fact that most will be couples. That being said, would any of you have any suggestions as to where might be a good resort for two single friends at the end of may? We probably should have done spring break, but end of may was the only time we could get vacations together .
I think Oasis may fit your agenda.... you probably won't like the daily pool fitness class, trivia contests, fashion show, horseshoes, darts and perfect couple contest at TTR. And every night they dance to YMCA like at an old-age home It is very lame and low key for young and crazy guys lookin' for chicks
