We are going to be at TTR in April and I am wondering if the resort sells phone cards. We are leaving our 2 boys with grandparents for the week and plan on calling home a few times to check in. Does TTR have phone cards available to purchase or what do people typically do? Erin
whatever you do buy one in Mexico. There is a convience store next door, I think $10/15 gets you about 60 minutes. From experience, if you go to Wal-Mart (here in the states) and get that 60 minute card you get to watch about 25 minutes go by by as soon as you activate it once you are in Mexico.
Thanks for the information. We haven't been away just the 2 of us in over 5 years so we are really looking forward to it... but want to be able to talk to the boys at least a few times while we are away!
And when you use it do so from one of the pay phones there not your room phone ... that also eats more minutes
We always buy out phone cards from the gift shop at the resort! There are at least 3 payphones within the resort that you can use them and we have never had any problems!
