Looking to call OHIO from Temptation and wanted to know the best way to go about phone plans.... Any advice welcome! Thanks, Tom & Arielle
Depending on your service provider, each has a different rate, but most times you have to call your company and ask for an international plan, some have been as low as .40 cents a minute, or some as high as 1.00 a minute. To call the USA from the hotel room phones is 2.00 a minute, I found that out the hard way last week.. Also depending on what kind of phone you have check your data plan to make sure you are not getting roaming charges just for you phone being on.. Otherwise, You can always go next door to the hotel and get a 10 dollar international phone card, thats usually what I do each trip... just so I dont end up drunk dialing at dollars per minute.
I needed Wifi for a couple days, so I did that and just used Skype from my iPhone. It probably worked out much cheaper in the end. And I could make unlimited calls without worrying about per minute charges.
We go next door to the mini mart too Jim. We get the 40 minute calling card for $12.00. You can use the phone right in the store too or the ones on the street right in front of the hotel.
yeah ive found that to be much easier and cost effective and its hard to drunk dial with the phone card, cuz theres a few things you have to do in order to make the phone call, so its like a phone sobriety test also lol
