http://www.aphis.usda.gov/regulations/vs/iregs/animals/downloads/mx_dgs_cts_pro.pdf Hi, every year we usually go to Puerto Vallarta , this year we are going to Isla Mujeres. It seems I can never get a straight answer regarding what is necessary regarding the vet certificate. Now the State Of Connecticut is telling me that since October of this year , that the vet sign off also has to be signed by the USDA, Any input would be of great help

I know for me, coming from PA to Cancun with my Dog, for the last 3 years I have always gotten a USDA approved Vet to do all my paper work, as that was the rules as I was always told. Luckily for me, my old vet in the US was just the person I needed. There is info out in the web regarding the new forms and things. I don't have alot of time at the moment to snoop, but give it a go

I am using a different form, as long as this form has my usda accredited vets letter head and sign off then no problem

This is the new form, but you are correct if you use the 7001 then USDA has to sign off instead of an accredited USDA vet
