Looks like the peso is strengthening again on the dollar, and the predcition shows it's going to get stronger!

Should start to see some great price reductions in Costco et al. on all the imported TVs and goods from the US! (yeah right)!

For anyone who gets paid in dollars, this couldn't be more depressing news, it's like a pay cut, sucks. Come back 14 to the dollar, come back now!

I agree with Sam, as I too am paid in dollars, but then again, I bought and finished a house here, with USD that was converted to pesos at 10.53 (10.58 here) This house is for sale now and I would like to send some of the proceeds back to the States. Right now I would be losing only about 1 peso per dollar. Sure beats losing 3 pesos per dollar like 2 years ago.

Matkirk will be correct on future strengthening, if the US stock market continues to climb. I have seen a direct correlation for the past 3 years now. Market up = peso up, and vice versa. I just wish it would stabilize somewhere, like it has for the last year or so, at around 12. Back in '05, the peso was at 10.58 and it stayed close to that until 2008, when all Hell let loose. I was in Cancun when it hit 14 briefly and that was sure a boost, but now the paso seems a lot more volatile....like gas prices at the US pumps.
