I will change my money from pounds to dollars or from pounds to pesos... what do people advise, is it best to have dollars in Cancun to spend or Pesos, plus what do u get change in, Pesos or dollars
Yes, if USD is not your national currency then there's no reason to use them at all. With dollars you'll almost certainly get shorted on both change and the exchange rate, and will have three currencies to juggle in your head instead of two. To get the best rate you're probably better not changing much at all and using your switch maestro card to get cash direct from your bank account via the ATM machine. Check with your bank on the charges first, but it often proves the most cost effective way - given the higher exchange rate and lack of commission charges.
