Open again?! Damn, we just were down in the beginning of February:icon_eek:. Is the atmosphere still the same? We would have been down there if only we knew.

I've only driven past since the reopening but it seems pretty much the same as ever from the outside.

Esteban...its a cool little mexican restuarant downtown..they have saddles for bar stools and the wait staff is quite entertaining (magic tricks, balancing drinks on their heads, playing tricks on you). From what I remember the food was pretty good too.

Thanks for the info! Might just have to venture into downtown once or twice this year...usually have stuck to the HZ or on trips (chichen itza, etc. in the past...)

It is on Av. Yaxchilan one main street west of Av. Tulum. Walk through the park (Parque las Palapas) and it is across Yaxchilan to your left. If you stay on the side of the street you are coming from you will find a raised crosswalk where you have the right of way.

Best to cross there as the street is busy and the median is raised and only about 2 feet wide.

A fun place for all ages. The staff gets the guests involved. There a a conga line that goes out a side door and comes back in the front where you pass by servers standing on chairs and pouring tequila down your throat.

My daughter came to Spring Break a couple of years ago and took me there on my birthday with 5 of her sorority sisters. They still talk about that night.

    Enjoy,
