Hey there. Just wanted to share that we just returned from Cancun on Sunday. Had hoped to eat at Perichos Friday night. Asked the hotel conciere for a taxi to there and had the taxi driver take us down there...only to find out it was closed. Saw a street tour person later on our way to Carlos & Charlies who told us that they have been closed for a few weeks. He thought maybe they were remodeling or something. For us, it was a $30 taxi ride.........and being bummed we couldn't go there. So, if Perichos is in your plans, please be sure to call prior to heading down. Maybe they'll be open in November when we return.
Unfortunately Pericos closed because of the drop in tourism with the swine flu scare. They originally scheduled to reopen in June but the owner decided that business had dropped significantly prior to that and they won't be reopening again. Word has it there may be a taqueria opening there.
