    Hi all,

I am considering getting PRK (laser eye surgery to correct near sightedness) at Perfect Vision, on Bonampak.

I have went to the pre-op exam and am very comfortable with the office and equipment, but am hoping to maybe find some feedback from someone who has had the surgery there...

    Thanks!
    Amber

You can refer to this thread here that I started some time ago. Unfortunately I got a nasty eye infection shortly before I had planned to have it done, which means (according to my eye doc) I'll have to wait at least a year (eye infection free) before considering LASIK again, but the reviews for perfect vision all seemed to be positive.

PS: ignore the posts from T.J. :aktion061:

I had cataract surgery there a couple of years ago...both eyes. Excellent service and attention and no problems.

How much is Lasik? Maybe I ought to think about having it done before we go back to Blighty.

Steve: My wife did it about a year ago, and it cost 17 000 pesos in total, for both eyes.

Steve: Yup, way cheaper than back home as well.

My brothers surgery will run him 22 000 SEK in total, which, according to xe.com, is 40 995 pesos... Yikes.

Thank you to all for the great feedback! It always helps to hear good reviews!!

For the PRK procedure, there is currently a promotion. It is 300 pesos for the pre-op exam and approx 14,500 pesos for the surgery (don't remember the exact amount off-hand), if you pay in cash. It is more if you pay with credit card, but you get 6 months with 0% interest.
