    Well, here goes.....

Saw the Blockbuster hit of the summer for the first time.....and LAST time last night.....I must say, I left the movie theater extremely disappointed. I wont go into great detail as usual as not to spoil anything, but I will give a brief rundown of what i liked and disliked. First off, the special effects were fantastic, I thought they did a great job with those and some of the fight scenes.......I liked the fact that they added Venom to this, although I couldnt help but wonder if Red Foreman was going to come out of no where and call him a dumbass.....I would have prefered another actor for his role, just because he will always be Eric Foreman to me....Also, too many obstacles for Spidey in this one to overcome....if the JUST had Venom as the villian it would have been great....but they tried to do too much with it and just dragged it on for way too long.....also didnt like the crybaby material they put in there and the random song and dance (minus the dance) routines in there really just bothered me.....Black Spiderman was great, I loved the idea, and thought it brought life back into a dead movie......I dont reccomend it, but its set to make about $500 million or something rediculus.....so whats a few more bucks.....

    Fletch's Movie rating: :D :D :D :D :D 5 1/2 out of 10 :?

    good review.

I will finally be able to go see it this week.
I would imagine that putting in the Sandman, Goblin and Venom in 1 movie plus all the other stuff would be too much. but I will see!

    thanks guys.

I think too much was stuffed into this movie. Special effects were great. The bad guys were well done. But too much juggling of relationships.

    1. Peter and Mary Jane miscommunicating throughout
    2. Peter and worst enemy/best friend/worst enemy/best friend
    3. Spidey vs. Sandman
    4. Peter/Spidey and the alien...stuff
    5. Peter vs. the little ass photographer
    6. Spidey vs. Venom
    7. Everybody in a smackdown

Too much. My wife's fav. of the three Spiderman flicks is the first. I think I would agree, but this latest one is also pretty good. Too much stuffed in, tho.

I too agree. Too much packed in, and too many "flip-flops". And what the heck was with that dance scene?!?

Heard on the radio they are planning at least three more spidy movies.

Interesting to see how word-of-mouth affects ticket sales -- it made almost 150 million this weekend. Will it sink this week?

The only comments I heard this weekend from friends and folks we were with for Cinco De Mayo was "There's NO CRYING in Spiderman!!!!"

T and I like to watch "The Soup" on E!, and they did a great job of taking clips of the primary stars of the show making appearances to plug the movie...and looking very uninterested in it. Either "The Soup" took them all out of context (which they occasionally do), or the cast really does feel tired of making Spiderman films. Will we start seeing replacements for the next couple films (a-la the Batman flicks)?
