Where do you book your trip? Do you book a package or seperate? Best price we could find for mid january is @ $1200-$1300/person. I know last minute would be cheaper but we need to plan ahead and we have already booked time off work. We know we're going Jan. 22-29...what we pay is our last obstacle.
We just booked our very first trip and ended up using a travel agent since we are new to the whole long distance travelling thing and wanted to make sure we didn't miss anything. In the end we found the hotel/flight package we got was virtually the same as you will find on sites like expedia.ca, redtag.ca, itravel2000.com, selloffvacations.com. The only thing we are booking ourselves is the transfer from the airport to the resort, and we're using USA Transfers which is spoken a lot about on this site.
Tripcentral.ca is 1162 for that week but if you wait about 2 weeks you will see that down around 1000 flat.
Last Year We travelled to TTR in March 2011 and we used Tripcentral. It was great and worked out really well. we paid around $2200 all in for the week. We almost went in April of this year and would have used the same site again.
I would wait for 3 months before to book better deals....I have used Redtag for both my trips to TTR. Normally if you book on a mon or tues those days are cheaper than the rest. Right now on redtag it is 945.00 per person ...but depends on were your leaving from, that was from Ottawa...
We booked through tripcentral.ca This is the first year in 12 trips we've booked early, usually do the last minute thing, but the last few trips the pricing has gone up closer to the dates.
CAA travel,,, you don't have to be a member,,, Orbitz.com has good prices,,, ( you won't be protected by Tico,, non Canadian) Expedia Flight center .ca every year some one different has a better price try the build your own trip function and travel Friday to Monday Alpha rooms has good rates if you have air miles for your plane.
Selloffvacations.com - we've used it for everywhere we go, if you use the search functions accordingly, I aways find the cheapest rates there, example our last trip was only $345 for the week, and yes if you wait last minute, the deals are the best but not always available
Done $2400...Jan. 22-29.....Booked!! We just wanted to make sure there wasn't some sort of "Secret free trip booking website" but I guess not.
