Backstory: Here in Houston, Stacia & I have this favorite place we like to go frequently called the Federal American Grill.

    FEDERAL Grill

The owner is a very cool guy, Matt Brice. His place features a DEEP bourbon rack, lots of high end scotch, great wine list and a good beer selection, mostly bottled. It's a scratch kitchen and the food is always kick-ass, and the service has always, every time, bbeen On Point. And... you pay for what you get. We try to go there a lot, hanging out in the bar area as it's a little bit more energetic in there.

Frontstory: I took a pic, which turned out really, really good, of Stacia sitting on a barstool laughing as she was talking on her phone to one of her BFFs who lives in Michigan. Great pic, showing off her hair, smiling face while she's laughing, her shape's in profile. It's a really good pic, and I had put it into a "Check In" for Facebook. It got some fun comments from friends, etc....and I forgot about it.

Then someone on here sent her a message on Insta to alert her that someone was "using her pic as a FB profile pic." She went to check it out, found the above-described photo, and reported the profile as fake.... which was apparently involved in "seeking friends to go to Temptation." Isn't that interesting? Profile name was Charlotte Eve, which sounds pornstar-ish.

I don't get this. The only way I can understand this is to imagine a guy behind it, trying to set up a catfishing thing. In my head, it's some 55 year old plumber, might still be living in his mom's basement, and it trips his trigger to lure dudes in....

… and this is where it falls apart for me. For what? Do people really get a feeling of pleasure to lead someone down a path to... nothing? It's weird to me!

Anyway, back to talking about toplessness, the seats at Bash, the Violin Guy, single dudes in groups, saving chairs by the pool, how deep the pool water is..... etc! LOL!

@Stacia_and_John - Wow, what a story! Sounds like a troubled, dysfunctional, yet tech savvy individual. You can almost picture Captain Sweatpants' dark tinted window minivan. Yikes.
Makes us think about the perils of having an online presence, posting pics, comments, etc ... especially in these days of identity theft, catfishing, cyber stalkers and keyboard warriors.
Takes the fun out of it, and gives us pause. Thanks for sharing your story. Must've really creeped out poor Stacia.

Not really. It's not the first time someone has stolen her pic to do some fake profile... This may be the 3rd or 4th time, which is what prompted me to post on it to see if anyone has any thoughts. Just because I'm curious about how, and why, people "think."

She forgot about it about 15 seconds after she reported it as fake to FB.
