* Passport Renewal *

I mailed our old passports for renewal on Jan. 8th,

I did not pay for expedited service, but I did send them registered mail ...

The new passports arrived today. :clap:

It took 23 days.

 

Not bad and a good thing too because the price went up today.

I mailed my renewal by certified priority mail. It arrived on the second day, but still does not show that it has entered the processing system

 

$75 for renewals and $100 for new.

A passport fee change will take effect February 1, 2008. The updated fees are listed below in red and are effective 2/1/08.

Before February 1:
Age 16 and older: The passport application fee is $67. The execution fee is $30. The total is $97 .
Under Age 16: The passport application fee is $52. The execution fee is $30. The total is $82 .

Effective February 1, 2008: Routine Service (Form DS-11) Non-Refundable
Age 16 and older: The passport application fee is $75. The execution fee is $25. The total is $100.

Under Age 16: The passport application fee is $60. The execution fee is $25. The total is $85.

 

wow I guess that stuff is moving fast last year cause last year it took forever

 

I just got my passport, it only took 2 weeks!! I had considered the expedited service but am glad I saved my money.
