were working on a trip to Atlantis in Bahamas for May. Were getting passports for Christmas but I am a big concerned... About the passport photo's Dallas does not hold his head up to good and worried about getting a photo with head up and hands down . we normally have to hold his head up run and get the pic. but not sure if this would work for this?? any advice?? Would they allow the photo to have someones hand in it holding his head up and straight? ALSO a bit confused. Since Aj is 10 ( will be 11 when we take the trip) do we have to get her another passport when shes 14?
For U.S. passport photos you can use your own if they meet the standards of the Dept. of State. http://travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738.html I would think that if someone can't hold their head up for a photo then a photo of their head with them laying down on an off white back ground would certainly work. You would just need two copies of the photo to submit when applying for the passport. Check the above link for the standard. If you still have doubts then contact an approved application source that has photo capabilities on site (like a local post office) and they can help you with the logistics.
Remember to let us know how you got the pic, Catrina. I hope Dallas has a great time on the beach in the Bahamas.
will do ! and thanks for the link! were not telling the kids until Christmas morning hehehehe. were workong on a cancun trip this summer also. but not sure if we would be bringing the kids on that one. maybe me and dh only. ( it would be a last minute book on the last minute specials ! lol! you can find some great deals!!)
