Back in like 2006 ish, my ex and I took my neice to a park that had hundreds of parrots, I think it was a sanctuary.

I think it might have been Chichen Itza but I cant remember, they had some turtles they rescued, we climed a myan pyrimid.
But it was the parrots and vultures that I remember the most, hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of them.

Is this the right place? Want to take my wife there.
I thought it was between playa del carmen and Cancun but cant remember ;(

Chichen Itza doesnt have parrots, turtles, vultures etc but does have a Mayan Pyramid.

Xcaret doesnt have a Mayan Pyramid (it does have a miniature copy though) but does have the others and more.

I dont know of any place that has all of the above, but my guess would be you mean Xcaret.

Xcaret is just beyond Playa del Carmen whereas Chichen Itza is way inland. Did you see the ocean there? If so definitely Xcaret.

Steve, I dont remember seeing the ocean, but I did dig up all my photos from that time if you want to see some.

I think you may be right though xcaret sounds right. And I think the temple we climbed was a small one, it only took 10 or so minutes to reach the top.

Sounds like Xcaret. Tulum and Coba are both reasonable distance from there.Tulum is closer. Coba is better. Pyramid Coba is big and you can climb it.
