    I HATE packing. :bootyshake:

I always feel like I'm missing something. And seeing as I'm a first-timer to Temptation, I feel unprepared.

So my question is... have you ever gone to Temptation (or anywhere else for that matter) and thought 'damn, wish I would have packed that!'??

And if so, what else would your bring? or not bring for that matter?

    Thanks a bunch! :xyxthumbs:

I've found it's been a learning experience. My first year I packed way too many clothes and ended up taking a suitcase and a backpacking pack. Since then I've been pretty OCD about it. I make a list about 4 months to go and every paycheck buy some things or cross some things off that I really won't need. I'm taking a regular sized suitcase for a 17 day trip and still will have plenty of room for stuff to come back.

They have a pretty amazing walmart there where you can buy just about anything you *need* - just bring the things you really *want*

Okay, I'm kinda weird this way, but I actually LOVE packing...it's what gets me thinking about all the possibilities that could happen while I'm on vacation!

So here are my minimums for 7 days:

    1. Minimum of 3 bathing suits. You're going to be in the pool all day, most days, and humidity can keep things from drying. This way, you'll never have to put on a wet suit.

    2. Cover-up you can throw on over the bathing suit for lunch.

    3. 1 pair of shorts and a shirt you can wear in the hottest reaches of the jungle per tour/excursion you're taking.

    4. 1 or 2 shirts with sleeves in case you sunburn.

    5. A hat you can wear in the pool to try to prevent that sunburn.

    6. If clubbing, something you'd wear in Vegas or LA nightclubs: skimpy and tight! (You can wear these at Paty'O's, too, or you can wear much more casual there.)

    7. Shoes: beach/pool thongs, very comfortable walking shoes, 1 nice of killer dancing shoes for night and going out to clubs.

    8. Sunscreen, passport, and travel docs.

    9. Small bills for tips and negotiating in the markets.

    10. Battery chargers!

pepto, sunblock, allergy meds., asprin, extra batteries, extra socks! alot of those things cost more there. last time we were there, i needed pepto, the lobby shop charged 9.00 for a box vers. 4.00 at home or wall mart. but with a belly ache i dont think i would want to ride the bus to buy any.

Have a great trip guys! Like Summerbum, I enjoy packing! I start a week or so prior to the trip and I thinking about all the stuff we might do! A few things that I have forgotten but now bring:
Fingernail clippers (put in checked bag)
Chocolate candy (gotta have it with red wine)
Backpack (Will brings his and puts all of our stuff in it like sunscreen, camera etc. He carries it at night and I keep some flip flops in it so that I can take off my heels when too drunk to walk in them!
Zip lock baggies (nice to keep things from getting wet in back pack)

    Again have a great trip!
    Cheers
    Laura

:icon_lol:LoL....My hubby was packed for our last trip to Temptation two weeks before we were due to leave. That was awesome, except when he opened his bag, he had 7, yes 7 pairs of jeans. No shorts...but 7 pairs of jeans ... Ended up going to Walmart and buying some shorts and shirts for him.....
I always end up packing way too much. But I think it's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it!
Seriously, club wear for the nights, bikinis for the day, cover ups for the buffet for lunch etc. don't forget to bring a wrap or something for the evening, it gets a little cool when the sun goes down.
