We are starting to pack for next Friday, and are attempting to just do carry on instead of checking bags. I need to figure out what I can leave at home and not miss. Are there hair dryers in the rooms? Toiletries like shampoo and shower gel? Anything I absolutely have to bring? I'm pretty low maintenance, so I think it is doable, but any advice is appreciated! Also, is it best to bring a mix of dollars and pesos or is just U.S. currency okay? Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk
Yes...there are hair dryers in the room(fairly low power) and irons....there are small bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and cream...but you can buy larger across the street at the pharmacy....pesos is the national currency...american dollars are accepted everywhere....just watch the exchange rate....check this thread..http://www.cancuncare.com/forum/temptation-resort-cancun/28226-carry-report.html
Sun screen is expensive at the resort,, you can maybe do a quick stop at Walmart on way to resort to top up your stuff
When we first started going, we only did carry on. I brought my favorite conditioner in a small bottle and my favorite lotion. I sprayed each of my outfits for night with my perfume and then put them in ziplocks to keep my perfume on my stuff plus, it makes packing a little tighter. We figure that the little extra we pay for sunblock buying it either in the gift shop or across the street is worth our time not to have to wait for our luggage or the worry about going over on weight. Good luck and have fun. Once we started going for 7 nights though....we have had to change to checking luggage. you would think with the tiny size of my swimsuits and my dresses at night that wouldn't be necessary. Guess the shoes though.....lol!!!
