So I've been packing since December.... maybe even late November. I keep my suitcase out and just throw stuff in it as I come across it! Otherwise when I'm in Cancun, I'll be like oh man I can't believe I forgot such and such! lol I pack about 18 times before I go. Pack. Evaluate suitcase. Take out un-necessary items. Re pack. Re-evaluate. Count shirts, shorts, capris, skirts, bathing suits. Count days of my stay. Realize I have 34 too many shirts. Unpack. Downsize. Repack. lol. and many other times! lol. Then I have to stay under the measly 50 lbs! lol GRRR!!! I found out that I can bring a suitcase back for free, so I may pack a smaller suitcase inside of my suitcase(if that makes any sense! lol) Right now I am at like 50 shirts. 10 pants. 5 bathing suits. 10 flip flops. one pair of sneakers. one pair of stilettos. and 2 pairs of pool side playboy wedges Now I think I will try to plan my events for while I'm down there. That way I can narrow some more outfits down! If i stayed at my hotel the whole time, all i would need is like 3 diff coverups and 2 bathing suits. lol. Case closed! What do you guys do?
I felt like I was reading my own post while reading yours. Although I haven't started packing into my suitcase, I do have piles of clothes all over....bathing suits here.....dresses there........and I too pack and unpack, pack again and unpack.....but I promised myself this year that I wasn't actually packing until the week before.......so.......two weeks from today I'll let you know how it's going!!! Getting excited......lol!!!
haha we'd all be kidding ourselves if we said we did otherwise! Lol! My biggest thing this week is getting harder on myself with tanning and working out daily. i love working out. just getting there is the problem. and with tanning.... i never put lotion on unless I'm tanning. So since i'm not used to putting lotion on, it takes me like 20 mins to do my whole body.... and i just think thats a pain in the you know what! lol. i pack fun stuff.... but un-necessary stuff: Beer drinking goggles (the eyeglasses with the straw) lol Frisbee Football velcro catch thingy beach bag huge lounger towel massage oil(could always use the hotel lotion, lol) and more!
lol that is DEFINITELY necessary! lol but actually my massage oil says "massage oil/personal lubricant" so we are good! lol but I like "yours and mine"
OMG .... I think that we were separated at birth Hammie!!! LOL .... I have piles of clothes ... I definate pile, a maybe pile, and a not sure pile ... hee hee
HAHA OMGGG!! me too!! I have the definite pile already in the suitcase! LOL. My toiletries bag is pretty much set. I know not many do this part.... but i love my Pages program(on a mac). I made a packing checklist and now i never forget anything!
