I own a U.S. car that was imported into Mexico by a previous owner (from Chicago). It seems that the laws changed in 2008 and if you are here in Mexico under an FM2 work visa, you cannot own / operate a foreign car. I was lucky enough to avoid being jailed and having my car impounded by the Fereralis recently...

Does anyone know if this law is going to chage? Currently you can only own / operate a foerign car if you are here witha tourist visa or an FM3. HELP !!!!!

If not, I need to sell my car...very sad about that...2003 Sebring Limiited convertible with 53,000 miles...skilver color with black leather interior...
