Does anyone know what the truth is about wether medications such as Viagra or Tramadol/Ultram are sold over the counter without a prescription in Mexico? Not that I need Viagra I was just asking for a friend.
Yes, you can buy Viagra over the counter here. Don't know about the other stuff as I'm not sure what it is, but the answer is probably!
You're not going to be able to legally get Tramadol, which is a synthetic opiate, or any other drug contained in the FDA Schedule 1, 2, 3 or 4 list and you'll find that certain pharmacies will restrict sales of certain Schedule 5 OTC products because of their potential use in manufacturing crystal methamphetamine.
Do you know that tramadol is not sold over the counter as a fact? Or are you assuming its not because its an FDA schedule 1, 2, 3, or 4 drug? The reason I say this is codeine which is an FDA schedule 2 drug is sold over the counter in Canada. Tramadol is sold under the names of Velodral,Ultram, and Ultracet. Its not a heavy pain killer and is compared often asprin or Tylnol. I use it from time to time when my back goes out. Unfortunatly my back goes out when I spend hours on a plane or buy Viagra. Both of which I plan......or my friend plans to do in Cancun.
You are correct that I made the assumption that because of its FDA schedule I assumed that Tramadol would not be OTC here. It shouldn't be, but as others have reported seeing it on the counter, I am obviously wrong. I'm aware of other country's treatment of mild codeine preps. I myself load up on Syndol everytime I'm in the UK. Although Tramadol does not contain codeine it is regraded as a synthetic opiate in the US. Nevertheless, if people see it, you can get. Sorry for generating confusion.
