Any suggestions for outdoor speakers for our pool patio area. Pretty large area in an open environment. No neighbors, so volume is not an issue. Would like pretty good sound quality. Must be durable. The speakers that look like rocks would look good, but not sure if they are really much of an option.

Our music tastes are pretty varied, however our CD's that Raja has burned for us get a lot of play.

They will be exposed to weather, and will be on the east side of our home. We have a couple of decks they could be mounted on, but will still be open to the weather.

We have a few BOSTON ACOUSTIC speakers in our back yard....they work phenomenal with amazing sound quality. Only downfall is they are a bit on the pricey side....but to me they are well worth it

We used to have some outdoor Polk Audio speakers that we actually used indoors and they sounded pretty good.

I am sure that there are better out there but I bought them at the PX when I was in the military years ago and the price was right back then.

Listened to Bose, Boston Acoustics, and Polk Audio, and decided to go with the Bose 251's. All sounded good, but they did not have much selection for the larger speakers.

Had to order the black ones, and should have them in a few days. Should sound great around our pool.
