I am just wondering if there is any place to go for a run near the hotel? Trails, sidewalks ect. Winters are very long up here in Winnipeg and it would sure be nice to have a break from running on a treadmill for a few days. Your feedback is appreciated.

Right outside the hotel is a cycle/jogging path. Lots of people use it and it's safe.

In 2012 I went for a few runs. As long as you stay on the main road and sidewalks you will be ok. I liked going left out of the resort better. One day I turned right out of the resort and got off the beaten path a bit. I had a van of thugs following me, but I was on an isolated road, no traffic. I soon got back to the main road.

We try and run a couple of times while we are there. There is plenty of beach to run out to the left all the way along the shoreline...outside the resort there are paths, but we like to head out on the beach to the right, past the pirate ship, cut up onto the bridge and out to the flagpole. It is always nice to run AWAY from home.....enjoy....but have to say we would prefer to run the beach to the left.

Beach! Kick ass running in sand. Cut your distance by 2/3 and have at it!

I usually do the beach too but if you go left onto the other side of the road just after the bridge there is a board walk that follows the lagoon. Not sure how far it is from the resort to bungee tower and back but i am guessing 4-5 km.

I love running alongside the beach as well. Usually get up at sunrise no matter how much I have drank the night before. Just love the early morning view.
