This is a review of our 7th trip to this resort in the last 14 months. We have enjoyed each trip but to be honest, we were a little nervous about this trip because of the recent negative feedback others had been sharing. After returning, we do not share the same negative opinions and had a great time. We were told the resort was full and we do know that the entertainment staff had to pack their belongings and stay at a nearby hotel because their rooms were needed for guests. So it was nice to see a lot of guests. Some thoughts: Room: Stayed in room 228 and everything was as clean as previous trips. The room was serviced every day, usually by 10 a.m. The mini-bar was stocked every day, we didn’t drink any of the beers they stock but we consumed the bottled water every day. Food: This is a very subjective topic, but we have always thought the food was good and had a nice variety. We have not noticed much of a difference between when the resort was Desire to the change now. Breakfast had a nice selection but we usually would get an omelet made. Lunch was buffet style our entire stay and the grill would change the selections a little every day. Don’t be shy about asking the grill for something they don’t have listed. For example, a day they had fish, we asked the chef to make fish tacos, no problem, and a day they had chicken, we asked for a chicken and cheese quesadilla. We had dinner at all the restaurants during our stay. No complaints at all. The late night snacks were at the pool grill for the 1st time in any of our trips. Ask them to make a grilled sandwich, they are a really good late night snack. Service: I can’t say enough about the service, from the bartenders, entertainment staff, waiters, etc. We never tip during our stay. We tend to wait till the end of our vacation and then tip the employees that we enjoyed the service from the most. The fact we never “greased” the wheel during the week never impacted the service we received. A friendly attitude goes a long way in our opinion. Hotel next door: Over the 14 months we have seen the building progression of the resort next door. For the longest time, it looked overwhelming and many people have seen pictures I’m sure. This is our 1st trip where the resort is almost done. It looks completely different now because it has a finished look (painted) compared to this huge concrete (gray) looking structure. Yes, it is big, but to us, with its finished look, we didn’t even think twice about it. Depending at what point of view you have, you may see it, you may not. And if a guest from that resort can see you in the pool or hot tub, we just didn’t care really. It was a complete non-issue for us. Overall, the same reasons still exist that have brought us back so many times. We are already planning our next visit in a few months. Any questions, just contact me.
Thank you very much for your trip review... we are heading there in April and have been concerned that compared to Temptation resort in Cancun people may have given up on this resort... watching this board sure makes it scary... number of postings comparatively..I am happy to hear that the resort was full and every thing was great and that the new resort next door has blended in... how were the people...would you say it was a good mix of singles, swayer's and swingers? have you ever been there in April? is that a good time to go or have we missed the party time.
The mix of people was mostly couples but there were certainly a larger number of singles compared to our previous trips. Can't comment on the swingers, really don't know. We have never been there in April, but the weather should be real nice that time of year.
Very nice to hear, can't wait to get back. We need a trip to Temptation Cancun first and then we will show up in April for my birthday in Los Cabos. Look out:lotsofmichaelfs:
That's some great info, never been to a Temptations and debating Los Cabos or Cancun, seems like Los Cabos is quite a bit tamer then Cancun which is ok with me, mainly want to relax without the kids for a week. Heading down Feb. 25, think Los Cabos is going to be the place.
Probaby headed back March 6th, do we miss your 40th J4 or are you headed to Cancun? My 40th is end of April this year.... good times. Happy Birthday if we don't see you!
After talking to a coworker who just came back from TTR Cabo, we booked Feb. 23 - March 6th....whoo hoo!! early birthday present.
Sorry, we didn't take any pictures worth posting this time. We took pictures during our 1st and 2nd trips, not so much anymore.
