I won't get into any heavy details. Let's just say we were very pleasantly surprised (and, in a good way). 1. We had nor witnessed ANY negative examples of security being over-bearing. We didn't (and, didn't plan to) give them any reason to be. Nor did we see anyone else doing anything we thought security should step in and squelch. What we did see was security doing their job (keeping the RESORT secure). I'd give them a huge "thumbs-up". 2. Resort was extremely clean and well-kept....as-advertised. 3. Staff was very polite and attentive....as-advertised. 4. Pools were great. We sat around the quiet pool, once (for a few minutes)....and around the sports pool on day 1 (again, for a few minutes). The rest of our time was around the "sexy" pool (I think that's what it's called). Good fun. 5. The people we met were great. We regret we didn't meet everyone we talked to earlier. But, the ones we did meet were all great folks....to a person. I'd name names....but it would be futile. I'm not great with remembering them.....and, I'd hate to leave anyone out. We had a really good time making friends, though. You were all great (can't stress that enough). 6. Food was great. We ate more on this trip than we usually do (even at home). Again....pleasantly surprised. I was a "little" surprised that room service wasn't available (didn't feel great, one afternoon). But, this wasn't even an inconvenience worthy of a negative review. I have nothing negative to say about the food - whatsoever. 7. Nightime activities --- Well...if there's one thing we think the resort could improve upon, it would be the nightime activities. Please don't get me wrong. We enjoyed them. But, let's use the lingerie night as an example. They have this quaint little disco that's small enough to be private....and large enough to accomodate a good-sized group. On lingerie night, they were GREAT about not letting people in who were: 1. Not in "costume". 2. Carrying cameras/phones. MUCH appreciated. But, "I" think they're missing a GREAT chance to reward the people who were participating, by allowing just those folks to enjoy the disco....away from the folks who weren't. If they allowed that, people couls party in there without worrying about photos being taken. And, there were enough participating to have a really cool time with each other. As it was, the theme part of the night lasted only a VERY short time. Then, those participating were mingled in with everyone else at Paty-O's. We did....and saw several others who changed clothes. PITA? No. Missed a good chance at a REALLY cool evening? We think so. It was our 1st trip to Temptation. It won't be our last, as long as they keep things like they were this past week. I was a big skeptic (based on some other trip reports, regarding security). Did they experience those things. I'm sure they did. I wasn't there. Did we? Nope. Did we see some crazy fun being had? Yeah. Was it just good, harmless fun? Yeah. Enough to warrant security steeping in? Not in our opinion. And, they didn't. We'll be back. Hope to see you there in the future. If we met you, keep in touch. If we didn't, it's our loss. The people were wonderful. lnj in NC
Sounds like you had a good trip. As for the disco, when we were there last they did keep it open after the games and had the DJ until about 11:30 or midnight. Everybody was able to come in and there were some issues with unwanted guests but our group usually took care of ourselves.
That would've been great. The disco cleared out in a matter of minutes, this past week. Everyone was told to go to Paty-O's.
If u talk to management, they will keep the disco open and keep the music pumping...that's what we do. So our group was in there by ourselves until people started noticing we had it to ourselves. That is when the fun began....
I wish one of the repeaters would have done that, this past week, then. We left....changed clothes......looked back in (on the way to Paty-O's).........and it was empty.
Yes why cant they keep the disco going we understand some people go to the clubs but at least thursday and saturdays they such keep it open for some dancing.
Last July we were told that the disco was causing noise problems for some guests the had rooms above and nearby. So management would shut down the Disco a few minutes after most events. We (several of us) had discussions with management about closing so quickly and there was no consideration even given us and the large group still trying to use the disco. Also last year we saw a couple of times during the week, Pady'Os close earlier than the crowd wanted. Again we were told the reason was noise and people in rooms complaining. My question...where do these complainers think they are staying? The Hilton *yawn* Jeff n Jill
We Agree With Your Observations About The Short Evening... "But, "I" think they're missing a GREAT chance to reward the people who were participating, by allowing just those folks to enjoy the disco....away from the folks who weren't. PITA? No. Missed a good chance at a REALLY cool evening? We think so." We went in March 2011 and felt exactly the same way, after the girls competed on stage a short time after the auction, lights came on and doors opened up letting anyone who was not dressed up in, most with cameras and male. Would have been great for us to mingle a bit after while still dressed(or undressed) in a close private setting. It was the only disapointment in our 7 days at TTR.:icon_evil: Isku
Thanks for the trip report. It will be our first time in July and I'm pretty sure we'll have a blast. Everything I've read on this site is unanimous in saying that the sexy pool is a great time. I'm still a little unsure about night time activities, especially after having read your trip report. Other than the lingerie night that didn't quite meet your expectations, how are the other nights? Is Paty O's a good party? What time does it close? Any info on night time at the resort would be much appreciated. Thanks!
