After seeing BC post his trip report, we thought that we would share our mini-trip as well. First off let me say that we haven't had that much of a good time in a couple of years. You people are off the hook. Since we have been on the CancunCare forum, we have occasionally checked out the Breaker's Forum but had never met any of the breakers that posts on it. When we came across the thread for Henry's birthday, we were somewhat interested because we live fairly close to Chicago and thought that it would be a good opportunity to meet some of them. Henry was kind enough to send us an invite and it was on! We originally planned to drive up on Saturday (Henry's Birthday) and head home the next day. We booked a room at the Marriott Courtyard. Shortly after booking that, we changed it to the River Hotel. But after being informed of "The Mother of all Hotel Deals" by Dennis, we jumped again. We also stayed at the Embassy Suites and booked two days for the price of one (compared to the previous two hotels). Parking sucked but you couldn't beat the grub and drink included. The Beginning: We headed out Saturday around 11:00 AM our time (Chicago is an hour behind) and made our way after tossing in our bags and cooler full of beer, Jager, Captain Morgan, Goldschlager. We arrived in Chicago around 3:00 PM following a valve stem issue on one of our tires and getting caught up in some traffic there in Chicago. Dropped the car in the garage and checked in. After checking in, I tried to call Henry quickly to let him know that we were there. Henry shot me a quick text letting us know that they were still on the boat and would be back around 6:00 or thereafter. So Dawn & I chilled for a little bit, had a drink or two, checked out the hotel and the surrounding area, and made our way to The Manager's Welcome. Effing Yeah... free drinks. Not that we didn't have enough in our room already. Ha! We both take our room keys in case they need them and sure enough there was a sign in the bar area that says, "One drink for one room key". There is a guy and a gal working behind the bar and neither asked for our keys. So after a few drinks down at the bar, we head back up to the room. A little later Henry texts again and says that people are coming over to his place around 9:00-9:30. A little bit later, he texts again and changes it to 9:30-10:00 because everybody in the crew rarely shows up on time. I asked Henry what room Dennis and Andrew were in so we could catch up to them but he said that Dennis had gone to Hooters and Andrew was in the hot tub. He said that he thought Jason was there though. I mentioned that I had better not head down there in case there was KnD going on. We text Henry later and tell him that we are headed over (you could see his building from our room window... thanks again Dennis!) and he comes down to meet us. We are some of the first to arrive and he offers us a beverage and shows us to the balcony. A short time after that others arrive and we get to meet Chad, BC, Jason, Gemma, Claire, Andrew, Allyson, & Matt. After a few beverages at Henry's it was time to head to Uncle Fatties. Once downstairs, we broke up into a couple of groups. Some took a cab and the rest took the El to closest stop to Uncle Fatties. After a brief struggle to purchase my train ticket and then putting the damn thing in the slot, we were on the platform waiting. Got on the train and was on our way. Get off the train and we start walking. After a couple of minutes Jason starts saying, "I don't remember it being this far". So we walk a little more and I get the chance to talk with BC for a little bit which was cool. He looked pretty tired at that point, so I wasn't sure if he was tired or really laid back. Jason finally says that we must have went the wrong direction and we decide to grab a couple of cabs. Everybody but Dawn & I in our group jumps in the first cab and Dawn and I decide to grab the next. Once we get into the cab, we realize that we don't even know the address to the bar. We assumed the cab driver would know it because it's on the street we are on (Sheffield). I text Henry real quick to get the addy and Dawn jumps on the internet on her phone and gets it. We pull up and the place isn't too packed when we get there which was great... more drinks. Dawn opts for the lesser option because she is only going to drink Captain and beer, I go for the premium so I can have whatever. The drinks flow and before you know it, we are meeting Cindy, Charmaine, Dennis, and Joe. Also saw Adriana and Melissa but I'm not sure if we formally met them. Then again, things were beginning to turn a little foggy. Talked a little with Dennis about the UFC fight and told Cindy that I checked out her MySpace page and enjoyed her video of "Picture". Danced a little, sang a little, spanked my wife's ass a little...ha! Sometime during the evening I saw some grape bomb drink on one of the posters and drank those for a majority of the night. The bartender by the door kept saying that they were not included on my wristband, so I would head over to the bar by the restrooms and get them. After one trip to that area, Dawn is telling me that the women in the restroom are saying that Mario Lopez is in the bar. Ha!!! After pulling out the camera and taking some indiscriminate pics and partying a little more, we toss in the towel around 2:00-2:30 and grab a cab back to the hotel. The cab ride back was somewhat of an adventure in itself. Our driver was asking us if we like music and he does a little dj'ing for us. In the 15-20 minute ride back, I think we listened to around 15 songs. He plays a little on one cd and then pops in another. Listened to a lot of blues, which was cool with me. Especially in the condition I was in. We pull up at Embassy Suites, I pay the good man and we are up to the room. I'm sitting on the sofa getting in a little munchie while watching who knows what, and Dawn obviously took our picture on the couch. Which makes for a nice avatar. Man, I was hammered! Second Round: Next morning we get up and make our way down for breakfast. Fed the alcohol and then went over to the Jewell/Osco grocery store. Bought a few things and came back to the room. We pretty much took it easy for most of the day until Henry sent a text saying that some of the people were coming over for his cookout and hitting the pool/hot tub. Got up, packed up the Jager, Captain, Goldschlager, Red Bull and some beer/soda and made our way over to his place. Went up to the pool/barbecue area and hung out with some of the peeps (Gemma, Claire, Henry, Joe, Matt & Chad) and met Yuriy. Chad was grilling and everybody was taking it easy. Before you know it, Joe starts bartending (if you want to call it that... it was more like Open Bar, Ha!). Boom... he's got JagerBombs poured for everybody. Then... another round. Then it's Goldschlager. Matt is tearing up the Goldschlager. Joe and I are talking about various topics... Salt Lake City and Honey Jager. Allyson and Alfredo show up and everybody is putting it away. Before you know it, we are running on empty and decide to head down to Jewell/Osco to pick up more liquor. I tell them that I have some beer over in the room and they should head over and get a few drinks at the bar because they didn't check for keys/cards. We (Dawn, Yuriy, Joe, Allyson, & me) head over to the hotel first. We give them our cards and they head to the bar. I load up a bag with beer and my bottle beer bong and we head back down. Once downstairs, Joe tells us that they were giving them a hard time at first but they scored a few drinks. Joe grabs another drink and we begin to head out. During the walk downstairs, I take a header. I thought that I missed a step but Dawn said that there was water on the step (because they have a waterfall and small stream running through the atrium), but Dawn's story sounds much better so we'll go with that. I fall forward, damn near choking on my gum, with a bag full of bottled beer. How in the hell we didn't break any is beyond me. One of them did start leaking from the cap though. So we make our way over to Jewell/Osco and purchase some more items...alcohol, chips, dip, and Yuriy bought Henry a cake. We head back to the pool and start partying again. Some head to the hot tub and others hit the pool. Some hit both. Yuriy jumps on my back damn near freaking me out! Everybody is taking pictures... some underwater. Ha! There are a few people in the pool outside of the group and Chad starts throwing his camera in the pool. Those people probably thought... "He's so f***ed!" Everybody heads back to the table and starts partying again. A bottle of Patron comes out and Matt starts going downhill. Ha! He's sitting on Gemma's lap and next thing you know Gemma is spanking his ass. Hilarious! Then somehow his face keeps getting pinker and pinker. LOL! Then we clean up and head up to Henry's place where Matt really hits the wall. As badly as I felt for him, I was even more amazed that he was even standing. After an incident or two, we make our way back to the hotel to get a little sleep before hitting the road the following day. The Ride Home: Get up the next morning around 8:00 and I head down to grab some breakfast. Bring a couple of trays of food up to the room and I eat. Dawn will have nothing of it. Ha! We get things packed up and head back over to Jewell/Osco one last time to get a bottle of Firefly that we saw Allyson drinking the night before. My sister-in-law and her friends are always drinking a Tea & Vodka drink with Raspberry Crystal Light, so it would make a nice gift since I haven't seen it around here. We then walk over to Giordano's on Rush Street to get a couple of take-n-bake pizzas to take home. We get back, check out and make our way out of the city. The drive out on Monday was much easier than it was coming in Saturday... go figure? On the way home, we shot over to Michigan to visit an old military buddy for a couple of hours. It was cool to see him and we made plans to get our families together later this year. Summation: We had as I said one of the best times we have had since our last trip to Cancun (in 2007). It was definitely an honor and our pleasure to have met each of you. I couldn't even begin to imagine how it would be down in Cancun with you guys/gals. Our only regret is that we could only come up for part of the weekend and that we didn't get to meet the others that had to leave before we got there. Perhaps another trip, another time. GLEN! I'm sooo sorry we didn't formally get introduced!!! I didn't know that was you @ Fatties! ( I left early - cause I had hit the wall from literally being up for more than 48 hrs with almost zero sleep - running on Jager and Redbulls!!! Hopefully we meet again - at the next CC meetup! Woooooo!!!
Thanks Janie. Wished that you were there. It was quite the event... and we were only there for a couple of days. I totally understand Melissa. You peeps had been going for some time before we arrived. We went out Friday night and stayed out way too late also. I kept telling people that when we got there because I tend to get black bags under my eyes and it looks like Dawn put a smackdown on me. Ha! Henry told us Sunday that you ladies had a long drive ahead of you that day. We were glad to have met those that we did and even more glad to have seen all of you in person.
What was even more amazing was after that sponge bath Gemma gave me in the shower, I was up and ready to party some more! Wow, we were only there till like midnight though. Was a fun day to say the least. Miss you two!
Yeah, we were chilling in Henry's place later and you came walking out and I was like, "No, f***ing way!". Definitely packed in quite a bit in a short period of time that day. Good times for sure. Not a problem Fletch. Just gives us incentive to catch up to you some other time!

Henry, we shall discuss your 31st celebrations whilst our finely honed sun kissed torso's are been entertained by the finest podium dancers this side of christendom on the sunkist white Isle.
