Are there any Cancun supermarkets that provide online grocery shopping and delivery yet? I left the UK over 6 years ago and every decent sized chain supermarket offered this then, back in 2004. I just read about how in the UK now you can use your phone to scan bar codes of existing items in your fridge or cupboards, you punch in the quantity required and it's delivered to your doorstep the next morning for no extra charge. That's probably expecting a bit too much, but surely ordering online must be here, or nearly here?
I haven't tried the service, but Soriana has it... Soriana - Tienda Virtual I did all my grocery shopping online in Toronto and I left seven years ago. It was sooooo convenient, I must say I miss it!
That looks not too bad. They do deliver, 45 pesos charge. Minimum order 500 pesos. I should add one service we've been using a lot recently is YZA Farmacias (8866035) who deliver medicines etc free of charge. If they dont have it in stock they go hunting round for it at other pharmacies for you. Just the thing if you're feeling ill and dont want to trawl 3 different pharmacies tracking down your prescription. Also they deliver baby formula too which has saved me quite a few 'emergency' trips to Walmart.
Superama also has delivery service. I've not used it, but it is available. If anyone has used delivery service from either Soriana or Superama, I'd like to know about the experience. Was it good/horrible??
I've tried to use both Soriana and Superama on several occasions but every time I've tried I've run into web site errors and haven't been able to complete my purchase. :banghead:
Gringa, Probably your tequila order is more than those systems can handle. How you doin? Long time, no see.
