We are going to be at Temptation starting this Sat the 17th and I cant wait. Just a real quick question. I have heard that they serve the cheap shit if you are not a premier member. Is this true and if it is...is there a way to get the good stuff. I like to tip everytime I go to the bar a dollar or two. Would it be better to tip large up front? Anyways any answers will help. Also if you are going to be there while I am there PM me. My wife and our friends are going and cant wait Thanks Steve
i think that has changed i think when it changed to Temptation , the rules on alcohol changed, i think if you ask for the brand you want you get it now, parhaps there is some speciality brands that are just for premier members...
Even for us premier members you have a hard time getting the good stuff. I buy a good bottle in the cancun airport or you can go to cancun wal-mart if you can't find anything good enough at the resort. I have never found a problem getting snookered on the resort booze.
Just remember to ask for the better booze. The cheap stuff is pretty bad! I tip larger & less frequently for my convenience, but I would tip each round for the first couple of days.
The "good" stuff is like Barcardi and Smirnoff but the other stuff is even cheaper than that. You can get the good brands all you have to do is ask for Bacardi and coke...instead of rum and coke.
when ordering your drinks be sure to ask for a "bacardi and coke" and not a "rum and coke" or you will get the crap stuff. Also if you order from the wait staff chances are you will get the crap stuff even if you order the good stuff. I generally drag my ass to the bar everytime, plus the bartenders know me and I don't even have to ask for a drink most of the time they just hand me it Look for us by the sexy pool. We get there on Friday!
If you get to know the bartenders and tip well, they will give you any brand of booze you ask for. If you into tequila shots, stay away from the pure shit Cuervo and ask for "de agave cabieto", which is the good stuff. Dos Equis is my favorite beer anyway, and I think it tastes better on draught too. :beerdrink: Most of the bartenders there also offer their own individual "signature shots", most of which will get you really trashed. BTW, speaking of Dos Equis, can anyone north of the border ever find it in cans? I've looked all over and cannot find it anywhere here in the midwest......
