k guys, just found out that my dad is going to be in cozumel the same time I'm in cancun, and he wants me to some how find my way over there to see him! how do i do that? is there even a way...cheaply that is? super stressed out right about now!!!
Help is on the way There is no ferry from Cancun so you would have to get down to Playa Del Carmen. Here is a link to ferry information. Ferry Schedule Cab fare to Playa Del Carmen should be around 45.00 US and the ferry is 12.00 US. Dad should pay..
Another option is to make your way to the ADO bus terminal in Cancun, then take a bus to Playa del Carmen (40 pesos, one way): from the bus station in Playa you can just about hit the ferry terminal with a rock.
The buses leave from downtown Cancun, cost is less than $4 to Playa, trip takes 45 minutes to an hour. From the bus station in Playa, it's a short walk to the ferry dock. Ferries run every hour, the trip takes another 45 minutes. Total travel time might be 2.5 hours or more, depending on schedules etc.. Ferry to Cozumel is about $12 USD one way. Makes for a very long day, tough to do, might be worthwhile staying the night in Cozumel.
If you´re staying in the hotel zone, you can take bus R-1 to the ADO bus terminal in Cancun (it would let you off across the street from it, on Av Tulum)- cost 8.5 pesos.
whew... k guys, my dads paying for a taxi from my hotel to playa. how much you guys think thats gonna cost? And do you think that there will taxi's around when we get back to playa on the ferry?
