    eeekkk......

I find that a bit offensive. Naturally, those who's first language isn't Chinese proly won't see a darn thing wrong with it....but it's just not my style of humor.

OK.....I'm off to go hide behind the sofa.

    I find it pretty funny.

That's the problem with the world today. People are just too politically correct. It is no different than others around the world making fun of us Americans. Which happens, believe you me.

Hell, we do it here making fun of others from neighboring states... ie: Indiana has always had Kentucky jokes... etc.

Just wanted to add an edit: I can see where some might find this offensive (particularly those of Chinese descent), my argument is that if something like this bothers you immensely, then you are truly blessed and you just do not get out enough.

If we can keep this "civil" perhaps I can learn something from you guys??? I'm open to the fact that I could be overly sensitive to some things.....especially ethnic humor.

Who is entitled to draw the line on ethnic humor, the person who is the butt of the joke or the person perpetuating the stereotype?

Any thoughts you can share either here or via PM?

    I say both.

The above is only pointing out the pronunciation of one's dialect, not at any particular individual(s) actions. Question is... how is it offensive?

I have been laughed at in other parts of the world for both my actions and words. At no time have I ever felt it to be "offensive". I merely laughed with them, having been in their shoes before.

Just saying... I can't see where this post causes any damage to anyone's ego or culture based upon some puns.
