We cannot wait, we remain to be cautiously optimistic..... we use to get down there yearly without missing, and fell in love with the place long ago. We fell in love with the entire community and good vibes that you could only experience at TTR due to the people that are there, without the facelift and improved rooms etc etc etc. That being said when TTR went under renovation we watched online and began to invest in a private business ourselves, so when she reopened we just weren't in the position to take time and money out to get back down there. a few years later I am glad to say that in late march/early april we will be making the trip south that make the wifey and myself happy happy happy, and get a little TLC. I guess the cautiously optimistic part is, Does it still seem to be the same, I have read some things and spoke with some, that say that varies. I am going to throw caution to the wind and just act like it is the TTR from old and see the differences for ourselves. We use to always attend the first week in March (Mrs. Rides birthday and our anniv.) but we want to wait till after the dreaded tax season to see where we sit, so I am going to be excited and try not to have any expectations, and try not to expect anything. But if you use to be regulars and have returned what are your personal opinions after experiencing the return, theme nights etc. Thanks guys and it feels good to be in the process of planning another adventure into our adult time getaway down south.
Wow, it is hard to put in words. It is the ssme but also different! My quick synopsis of an opinion...others will vary. Hence the only way to find out is to visit for yourselves...more tgan a one and done. The renovation is nice but had its issues. Bash Tower rooms are larger and nice. Garden Views are the same but with cosmetic facelift. The pool is big and deep and although nice the vibe just does not feel the same due to the size. The SkyBar is a great place to chill and enjoy the view. Beach and quiet pool the same. Pool games the same but cleaned up some. Bash is nice but not Patios. Sports Bar is nice and big with multiple TVs and games but too small when Bash get rained out. It is moldy smelling too. Quiet Pool and Beach remain the sane. Food and restaurants a bit better. You can read multiple posts and trip reports to get the details. There are many many new folks due to the marketing and rebranding. It also depends on the week and who is actually there. Some get away with much more then others. As we all know...consistent inconsistency! Best of luck. Interested in you op and first hand findings.
yep that's what I figured id do is just do it and find out for ourselves, how deep is the pool, I thought it was the perfect depth before, I enjoy seeing Mrs ride wondering about topless in it, which is the point ........right lol
deeper then before most boobies now underwater 5 foot shorties have difficulty with depth and must walk on tip toes or hang out near stairs causes cramped calves later when in heels!
Man that stinks they made it that deep........kinda defeats the purpose of topless pool when they cant showem, oh well just gonna have to deal with it, that's just a small part. what about other pools, eg. quiet pool area, but do they allow topless there?? cant remember we never went there lol!!
But some boobies float and some boobiessink! yes topless at quiet pool and hot tub and Beach and SkyBar pool
still trying to look up old posts from veterans comparing to old TTR after reopening......... what month, and year was the reopening again, wasn't it in Aug in 2017 or so??
