Ok... so for those of you who don't know here's the story so far. Nat and I were planning on getting married at Blue Bay Club in Oct 2008 with a bunch of friends and family in attendance. BBC was perfect because 1. it had an exchange policy with BBG so our guests could have fun there if they found BBC boring. 2. it's reasonably priced. 3. it's a family resort According to BBC the exchange privilages are ending as of Dec 15th 2007. Now our number 1 reason is gone so we're looking for a new place to get married. (we're still going to honeymoon at Temptation) So here's where you all come in. We'd like to hear about any resorts in Cancun that you've stayed at that was fun and nice enough to get married at. We're looking for the following: 1. Nice beach 2. activities for adults as well as kids (volleyball, water polo etc) 3. a good entertainment staff (no one can match BBG but lets try for 2nd) 4. Some kind of nightlife (we're hoping to do 1 trip to Coco Bongo as a group) 5. all the other normal things. pool, food, rooms, etc Where would you go in Cancun that was fun? Hope to hear from you all. Ian & Nat
We stayed at Beach Palace in 1996. Very nice family resort with constant poolside activities. IMHO, you can't beat the beach there. BEAUTIFUL!!! They are one hotel in a group of 8, I think. They have the stay at one play at all exchange too. Palace Resorts include Beach, Sun, Moon, Cancun and other palace hotels I can't remember. Visit www.palaceresorts.com
the gran costa real which is now the barcelo costa had a great kids program, good entertainment staff, adult games (the tequlia volleyball was still there) i dunno once it changed what their kids program was like worth checking out though its a nice restort, close to bbg (can walk the beach its like two hotels) good food...
thanks guys... we'll check those out....... .. we're hoping to stick close to $1500 tax in for the week for our guests...... With Oct being the low season we're hoping to pull that off.
